Reginald Leslie Thomas Obituary
Reginald Leslie Thomas, affectionately known as Reggie, and sometimes called ‘Pudge,” “Pudgee”,or Cowboy by his friends, was born in Elmira, New York, as the youngest of five children to the late Lucian R. Sr. and Kathryn Thomas. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents; his siblings, Lucian Jr. (Sonny), Brenda, and Ronald (Ronny); his son, Keith; and a host of loved ones who now welcome him into eternal rest.
At the age of four, Reggie’s family followed God’s leading and relocated to Detroit, Michigan, where he was raised and educated in the Detroit Public School System. Reggie’s journey with the Lord began early, growing up in a close-knit church community in Detroit’s “Slab town,” a neighborhood lovingly nicknamed by his father. Although his path of faith wavered during his teenage years, Reggie remained deeply influenced by the spiritual foundation laid in his youth, eventually returning to a life centered on God’s love and grace.
